CONSTRUCTION OF 2000W DUAL CELL POWER INVERTER

CONSTRUCTION OF 2000W DUAL CELL POWER INVERTER

ABSTRACT

In Nigeria today power failure has been a thing we experience every day, and this leads to complete blackout at different houses, and its stoppage of production in some companies. This serves as a challenge to Electrical Engineers. This project, construction of 2000W power inverter is an arrangement of circuit unit that can provide an uninterrupted power supply which can last for a particular time, this inverter can be described as a device the convert direct current D.C to the alternating curetting A.C this inverter that we are talking about is applicable in the following places, e.g houses, offices, industries, company, etc. the construction of 2000W power inverter it can serve the four-bedroom flat without use heavy load like Air condition, Iron, corker, etc. using of power inverter it reduces the problem of bed power supply in Nigeria.

CHAPTER ONE

1.0       INTRODUCTION Multilevel voltage source converters are widely used in industrial inverter applications and recently a generalized inverter structure has been proposed. Which include the flying capacitor and diode clamped multilevel inverter.  The generalized structure is developed from a generalized cell, called the PZ cell. The interconnection of PZ cell, two-level phase legs, leads to multilevel legs capable at additional voltage level. As the multilevel inverter is suited to high voltage application the expectation is that the duality transforms when applied to the generalized range of conversions with advantages for the high current application. Also, the origins of electromechanical inverter explain the source of the term inverter. Early AC – to – DC converter used on induction or synchronous AC motor directly connected to a generator so that the generation’s commutator reversed its connections at exactly the right moment to produce DC. A later development is a synchronous converter, in which the motor and generator windings are combined into none armature with slip rings at one end and a commutator at the other end only one field frame. The result with either is AC – in – DC out, with an M.G set, the DC can be considered to be separately generated from the AC with a synchronous converter, in a certain sense it can be considered to be mechanically rectified AC. Given the right auxiliary and control equipment, and M – G set or rotary converter can be “run backward”, converting DC to AC. Hence an inverter is an inverter converter.

1.1       AIMS AND OBJECTIVES The aims and objectives of the inverter are: i.          A power inverter change DC power from a battery into conventional AC power that you can use to operate all kind of devices e.g electric light, kitchen appliances, microwaves, power tools, TVs, radios, computers to name just a few, we just connect the inverter to a battery and plug other AC device into the inverter and we have got portable power. ii.         The inverter drew its power from a volt battery or several batteries wired in parallel. The battery will round to be recharged as the power is drawn out of it by the inverter. The battery can be recharged by running the automobile motor or a gas generator, solar panel, or wind or you can use a battery charger plugged into an AC outlet to recharge the batteries. iii.        Using an inverter for emergency home backing power. A very simple way to use an inverter for emergency power (such as during a power outage) is to use a car battery and an extension card running into the house where you can then plug-in electrical appliances.

AREAS OF APPLICATION The inverter is used in the different areas, they are:

It is used in the offices. It is applicable at home It applicable in industries. It used for emergency electricity.

WHY THIS PROJECT NECESSARY POWER INVERTER: - It has moved up in the rank of importance in everyday life because our lives have become more mobile. Whether we are out of the office from work or for play, we can have our office with us. Having an office requires household power. With good power inverters we can run our laptop, printer, skill saw, digital comment and much more, power inverters have really supplied us with a truly mobile world. I expect that power inverters will be incorporated into more vehicles in the future why your power inverters wait for the future to get now. Also, it is the source of power when there is a power failure, I source as sourced income for the people.
